Check Point Mobile Security (Harmony Mobile): Protect Your Mobile Devices Across Four Vectors

The mobile device is the least-protected edge of the corporate network. MDM manages the device; Mobile Security protects it — against malicious apps, zero-day phishing (incl. smishing), MitM, and OS vulnerabilities across apps/files/network/OS. Privacy-by-design, zero-touch deployment.

Your employees' phones are the least-protected edge of your corporate network. Email, Microsoft 365, CRM, approval flows, and company data are accessed from the pocket every day; but the same device is also where personal apps, public Wi-Fi networks, SMS/WhatsApp links, and side-loaded files live. You protect your computers layer by layer — but mobile? In most organizations the mobile device is the unseen blind spot of the security architecture. Check Point Mobile Security (formerly Harmony Mobile) closes exactly this gap: as the market-leading solution in the Mobile Threat Defense (MTD) category, it protects corporate data across all four attack vectors at once — apps, files, network, and OS.

As Check Point's Türkiye partner holding Advanced Partner status and the Mobile Solution Specialization, Kinetik Bilişim integrates Mobile Security into your existing mobile management (MDM/UEM) environment, handles zero-touch deployment, and manages threat visibility end to end.

Why Mobile Security? Why Isn't "We Have MDM" Enough?

The sentence we hear most often in the field: "We already have an MDM/UEM solution." This is an important misunderstanding. MDM/UEM (Intune, MobileIron, Workspace ONE, etc.) is a management layer: it enrolls the device, applies policy, distributes apps, and wipes remotely when needed. But MDM is not a threat defense layer — it cannot detect and block a malicious app, a zero-day phishing link, a man-in-the-middle (MitM) attack, or an OS vulnerability. MDM manages the device; Mobile Security protects it. The two aren't rivals but complementary layers — indeed, Mobile Security integrates with your existing MDM/UEM rather than replacing it.

The threat landscape makes this mandatory: mobile devices have become a primary target for phishing (especially SMS-based "smishing" and attacks arriving through messaging apps), because the small screen, shortened URLs, and "on-the-move" distraction make a fake link far more convincing than on the desktop. Mobile phishing can instantly undo your investment in email security — which is why mobile is an inseparable part of your email security strategy.

Complete Protection Across Four Vectors

1. App and File Protection

Mobile Security blocks malicious apps from infecting the device in real time. At its heart is Check Point's Behavioral Risk Engine: it runs apps in a cloud-based environment and determines whether they're malicious using machine learning, AI, sandboxing, static code-flow analysis, anomaly detection, and app reputation. On the file side, downloaded files are scanned with ThreatCloud AI before they reach device storage; zero-day file-based attacks are stopped by real-time cloud sandboxing.

2. Network Protection (On-device Network Protection)

A unique layer that brings Check Point's industry-leading network security technologies to the mobile device. Its scope is broad:

  • Anti-Phishing & Zero-Phishing: Blocks known and unknown (zero-day) phishing sites across all apps — browser, email, SMS, social media.
  • Safe Browsing: With ThreatCloud AI intelligence, stops access to malicious sites in any browser.
  • Conditional Access: Blocks infected devices from accessing corporate apps and data, independent of UEM.
  • Anti-Bot: Detects bot-infected devices and automatically cuts communication to command-and-control (C&C) servers.
  • URL Filtering & Protected DNS: Blocks sites against corporate policy; manages DNS preferences to prevent MitM and DNS spoofing.
  • Wi-Fi Network Security: Detects man-in-the-middle attacks and malicious network behavior, automatically disabling connections to malicious networks.

3. OS and Device Protection

Real-time risk assessment prevents device compromise: it detects attacks, OS vulnerabilities (CVE), configuration changes, and weak security settings; it catches advanced jailbreaking and rooting techniques. By running an extensive inventory of known vulnerabilities in the installed OS, it lets the admin see risky devices and cut their access to corporate resources.

Privacy by Design

Employees' biggest mobile-security objection is privacy — and they're right. Mobile Security puts this concern at the center of the design: no personal data is collected or analyzed. The solution never inspects files, browser history, or app content. It determines whether a device is compromised using state and context metadata from the OS, apps, and network, and anonymizes that data. The result: even in BYOD (personal-device) scenarios, employee privacy is preserved — the key to both user adoption and data-protection compliance.

Deployment and Management: Zero-Touch, Full Scale

  • Zero-touch deployment: The on-device app installs via your existing MDM/UEM with a single click, without user interaction. It scales rapidly from zero to tens of thousands of devices.
  • Every ownership model: Supports BYOD, COPE, and all Android Enterprise deployment models (including work/personal profile separation).
  • Cloud-based management console: Oversee mobile risk posture and set granular policies from a single pane. With the app-vetting service, get a full analysis report of any Android/iOS app within minutes.
  • Infinity AI Copilot: AI-assisted management accelerates incident investigation and policy setup.

Where Does It Fit in Your Security Architecture?

Mobile Security is part of Check Point's unified Harmony security family and shares the same ThreatCloud AI intelligence as the other layers. This makes it not a standalone product but part of a holistic architecture:

  • Mobile phishing often starts with email; together with Harmony Email & Collaboration, it cuts the attack both in the inbox and on the device.
  • Endpoint and mobile share the same threat intelligence; a compromised device can be the first link in an account takeover (ATO) chain — mobile protection breaks that chain early.
  • Corporate data that could leak from mobile devices is a direct subject of your DLP and data-protection obligations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are "Harmony Mobile" and "Check Point Mobile Security" the same product?

Yes. Check Point renamed the product to Check Point Mobile Security; Harmony Mobile is its former name. The technology, console, and capabilities are the same. We deliberately use both names on this page, because some organizations still search by the old name.

Why do I need Mobile Security when I have an MDM/UEM?

MDM/UEM manages the device (enrollment, policy, remote wipe); Mobile Security protects it against threats (detecting and blocking malicious apps, zero-day phishing, MitM, OS vulnerabilities). MDM can't stop a phishing link or a malicious app. The two are layered; Mobile Security integrates with your existing MDM/UEM rather than replacing it.

Will it monitor employees' personal phones (BYOD)? Is that a data-protection problem?

No. Mobile Security is privacy-by-design: it collects no personal data and never inspects files, browser history, or app content. It uses only anonymized state/context metadata. This approach both preserves employee privacy and eases data-protection (KVKK/GDPR) compliance — the key to user adoption in BYOD deployments.

How long does deployment take — will it burden users?

With zero-touch deployment, apps install via your existing MDM/UEM without user interaction and scale rapidly to tens of thousands of devices. The on-device app doesn't affect battery life or data consumption and doesn't touch the user experience.

Does it support iOS and Android together?

Yes; a Harmony Mobile Protect app is available for both iOS and Android, and it supports Android Enterprise's work/personal profile models.
